Sweet Family Session in Lake Chelan. The last few weeks have been a little weird. And heavy. Co-vid 19 has brought the world to a standstill, most of the US is shut down. Turning on the news means stress & anxiety for the rest of the day (at least for me). That’s why this sweet family session last night was such a refreshing way to spend an evening.

It’s funny when I turn the news and podcasts off, you’d never know anything is wrong. The birds are singing, Spring feels like she’s here. We are planting seeds and the year looks bright and hopeful. We only spent 20 minutes on these photos but it was so precious, hiking up a mini-mountain to get those gorgeous views of the Columbia River. It was an escape for just a little while, to remind us life is still happening. There are still moments to hang onto, right now. It’s okay to breathe in and enjoy where we are, even here, even with what’s going on.

I’m again just grateful for my job, grateful I have the ability to capture these memories for others and myself. I hope you all are able to find something you are thankful for today. If it’s a person, go tell them! Good food? Take an extra minute to savor the flavors. If it’s your kids, hug them tight.

Hope you all stay safe and healthy,

xo, Kayla
