I’m all about before and afters. My new addiction lately has been Fixer Upper (how am I just now discovering this show?!) It’s hard to not fast forward through the renovating part to the dramatic reveal of the “new”. This show even takes it to the point of printing a GIANT canvas picture of what the house looked like before they started, and rolling the thing away like poof–voila a completely new house.
What you don’t see, is the months of hard work, planning, sweating, running into roadblocks, troubleshooting, and designing to finally get that finished product. I mean, that’s why it’s fun, right? 🙂
Well, that’s what this post is all about. About two years ago, I did my first marketing shoot with LCCM, (a great social media and branding company here in Lake Chelan), and had a blast hiking by the Butte taking their photos. These ladies were just starting their business and so was I, and I loved that we could help each other out. They used the photos on their site and I got my pretty logo *heart eyes* so boom, all good.
Fast forward two years, another marketing shoot in the books, and I just had to stop and take a moment. I think it’s safe to say, both of our business’s have put in the behind-the-scenes work necessary for our “big reveals” in this last shoot… Speaking for myself, it’s been an amazing, hard, incredible period of growth and learning that I’m so proud of. As for Sarah and Livi, both were able to quit their jobs and pursue their passion full time, which is incredible and a dream, but I know that it didn’t come without sacrifice and working their butts off.
Anyways, I thought it would be fun to put these shoots together, and hopefully inspire you to keep pushing. Keep pursuing your passion, growing your business, whatever personal journey you may be on. When it feels like my steps forward are slow, and progress is hard, I look at before & after’s like these and take heart! I encourage you to find your own before & afters, however that applies to you, and put in the hours to keep moving forward.
